Training Cycle for Campleaders
Do you want to develop your organisational and time-management skills and learn how to work with an international group of volunteers? Would you like to improve your communication, motivation and teamwork skills, and try out a leadership role in an environment where mistakes are seen as a natural part of learning?
Training cycle step by step
Workcamp as a participant
You can choose a workcamp in Czechia or abroad, gain a unique intercultural volunteering experience and observe the workcamp from the perspective of a future leader. We especially recommend this step to those who have never participated in a workcamp before. After completing the full training cycle, participants receive a 25% refund of the next workcamp registration fee.
Training for campleaders
Preparatory weekend training
What can you expect in the role of a campleader? What support materials and handbooks are available? What does inclusive and partner-based leadership mean in practice? How can you prevent conflicts and motivate a group? How do you talk about international volunteering with the media? Which workcamp will you lead, and with whom? During the training, we address these questions together through practical activities and shared experience.
12.-14. June 2026, Horní Sokolovec
Online training
Cannot join the in-person weekend training? No problem. We have prepared an online training for campleaders, covering the same topics as the offline version and more. You can choose your own pace, time and intensity of learning.
First Aid Training
Although you will not work as a paramedic during your workcamp, this course provides essential first aid skills. It prepares you to respond not only to minor injuries, but also to common emergency situations such as allergic reactions or sudden health issues. The training will be conducted in Czech (with a transaltor) and is not offered individually.
11. June 2026, Horní Sokolovec
Workcamp as a campleader
During the two-week workcamp, you will finally put your leadership skills into practice. As a campleader, you are not a boss but a team member. You work alongside the group, follow rules set together and continue learning throughout the experience.
Compared to other volunteers, however, you gain additional responsibilities – managing finances, organising work, motivating the group during challenging moments and cooperating with your co-leader.
Volunteering offers a safe space to learn and make mistakes, so there is no need to be afraid of them.
Post-Arrival Reflection weekend
How did we experience our workcamps? What did we learn as leaders, and how can we use these skills in the future? This inspirational weekend brings together volunteers with shared experience and marks the closing step of the training cycle. The evaluation meeting will take place in autumn. Further information will be shared with participants of the cycle. The training will be conducted in English.
24.-26. September 2026, Hubenov, Borotice
