Are you thinking about travelling to a country in the Global South (i.e., countries in Africa, Asia, and Central & South America)? Then join our pre-departure training as part of the Global Volunteering Cycle!
You’ll have a great opportunity to reflect on global context and volunteering in these regions, plus we’ll dive into:
🧠 What is international volunteering and how does INEX approach it?
💡 What motivates people who want to volunteer in Global South countries?
⚖️ Is volunteering and travel always beneficial, or can it also do harm?
💬 How to talk about your international experience without spreading misleading stereotypes?
🗺️ Why do we at INEX use the term Global South instead of developing or third world?
❓ Where did the second world go?
How will it work?
🎨 Methods: Non-formal education and critical thinking development.
🗣️ Language: The training is conducted in English. You don’t need perfect English – the main thing is the desire to communicate!
An inspiring weekend awaits you, during which you’ll get to know other volunteers, the INEX team, and yourself much better.
