Project name: Assistant to Educational Projects in INEX-SDA 2026/2027
Dates: 01.09.2026 – 31.08.2027
Description
INEX-SDA is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 1991 to promote and support international voluntary work and intercultural education. As a volunteer, you will join the Educational Department and primarily assist our project coordinators or methodologist with delivering the content of several educational activities and strategic projects. These include projects focused on global education, mostly within the framework of international volunteering – active solidarity, ethical communication, and the development of soft skills (leadership, reflection, etc.). Your support will include collecting data, drafting documents, reviewing existing methods, contributing to dissemination, assessing evaluation and feedback, and carrying out general administrative tasks related to the projects.
Your tasks
Throughout the year, your responsibilities will cover a wide range of activities, including logistical support for training sessions, meetings, and seminars; active participation in on-site activities; communication with participants; and administrative work connected to projects – preparation of contracts, timesheets, checking travel reimbursements, and other documents related to educational events, activities and projects. Additionally, each ESC volunteer at INEX-SDA leads at least one workcamp in the Czech Republic during the summer season.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will live in a private room in a shared and fully equipped flat in Prague. The accommodation will be located within a reachable distance from the office (by public transport). The volunteer will get a monthly food allowance and receive a public transport card.
Training during the activity
The staff of INEX-SDA will be supporting the volunteer along the way, and also the volunteer will be introduced to a local mentor (a person who did ESC in the past). There will also be possibilities to participate in trainings and seminars organized by INEX-SDA – in this way the volunteer can work on his/her personal and professional development (e.g., communication and presentational skills, leadership skills, gaining an awareness on global education topics and non-formal education methods, self-reflections, etc.). There will be also an opportunity to participate in a Czech language course.
Requirements
This project is open to anyone interested in our activities and strongly motivated to become an active member of our team. We welcome open-minded and flexible people with a willingness to learn and invest their energy. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Please note that much of the work is administrative and not always in the field. Volunteers should be comfortable with reading and writing longer texts, creating written outputs and checking project documentation. Previous experience with event organization or in the NGO sector is an asset but not required. A good level of English is necessary.
How to apply
Please apply via the European Youth Portal till 10.5.2026 (CET 23:59). Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by email to fulfill a few tasks so that we can get to know their ideas and skills better and also to make sure that they understand what the project is about. Then selected candidates will be invited for online interviews that will take place approximately in mid-June. For more information, you can contact us on email esc@inexsda.cz.
